The Vela inter-row tiller is mainly designed to cut up decomposing weeds and to loosen and mix the soil without turning it in the inter-rows of crops such as strawberries. It can also be used to mix mineral fertilizers into the soil.

Among other things, the machine can cultivate strawberries in an 80-cm wide strip with an inter-row spacing of 50 cm.

The machine has special internal baffles and front screens installed to protect plants from damage by rotating blades, stones and crumbling soil. It is equipped with a traditional tilting tailgate to limit the ejection of soil and stones.

An articulated-telescopic shaft with an overload clutch is standard equipment to increase the durability and reliability of the transmission.
